The optimal phase in strong-field photoemission experiments at sharp needle tips

Коли металеві кінчики голок висвітлюються інтенсивними фемтосекундними лазерними імпульсами, фотоемітовані електрони можуть сильно збуджуватися в оптичному полі на поверхні кінчика голки. Зокрема, електрони можуть пружно перерозсіюватися на кінчику, що призводить до характерних особливостей спектрів електронів, таких як плато і обрив. Спочатку розглянуто інтенсивні двокольорові поля, що керують динамікою електронів. Показано, як із двоколірних спектрів, які залежать від фази, можна отримати оптимальну фазу, тобто фазу як функцію енергії, за якої швидкість рахунку максимальна. З цієї оптимальної фази можна отримати багату інформацію. Ця перша частина огляду готує ґрунт для другої частини статті, що містить оригінальні дані про спектри, що залежать від фази огинаючої несучої. Показано, що за допомогою аналогічного аналізу з оптимальної фази можна виявити таку ж багату інформацію і у разі зміни фази несучої. Зокрема, показано, що оптимальна фаза дуже чутлива до тривалості імпульсу, що управляє. Ми очікуємо, що ця робота розширить арсенал інструментів фізики сильних полів, що вплине на аттосекундну фізику і майбутню петагерцову електроніку.
