Formation of inhomogeneous spatial structures in the boundary near-surface layer of ice

Анотація

Запропоновано нелінійну модель граничного ковзання льоду для опису двох атомно-гладких поверхонь, розділених ультратонким попередньо розтопленим шаром льоду. Модель базується на системі рівнянь типу Лоренца, параметризованій зсувною деформацією, напруженням і температурою приповерхневого шару льоду. Враховано просторову неоднорідність цих параметрів і показано, що під час ковзання вздовж площини контакту формується доменна структура з двома типами доменів. Обчислено часову еволюцію фрактальних розмірностей цих розподілів доменів на площині контакту та продемонстровано існування характерного часу, коли фрактальні розмірності досягають мінімальних значень. Встановлено, що в процесі еволюції система наближається до однорідного стану, в якому на всій площі контакту реалізується фіксоване значення зсувної деформації, що визначає відносну швидкість ковзання тертьових блоків.
